The Italian capital has never been this influential with brands like Gucci, Fendi, Bottega Veneta and more on the top of the fashion food chain. This season, the runway of Milan Fashion week had a lot of surprises from a chic version of musical chairs at Jil Sander to a Marie-Antoinette theme at Moschino. Let us run you through a little brief of the most famous brands in the region and present a glimpse of what the runway had this season.

Fringing, fringing and plenty of fringing was the hit this season of most of the brands. Fringing arms on coats and dresses swayed at Prada show that also showed details on knitwear on the runway partnering this season with Alberto Moncada. King of coat, Max Mara delivered as many coat shapes as possible this season and a 360-degree view surprise by Alessandro Michele at Gucci show displaying the backstage area to show all the action. New and modern lady like with soft power at Fendi while Tod’s reworked classics referencing everything on Italian style from furniture design to architecture Bottega Veneta after launching a monster boot trend, all eyes were on the shoes! He presented over-sized and pocket size bags which he’s famous for along with jeans that came in all over diamante as did dresses and trousers.

Structured black dresses, knitwear chunky knits, and over size cashmere fur coats at Dolce & Gabbana. while Donatella Versace combined menswear and womenswear for the first time surprisingly to the audience and delivered plenty of animal prints, sequins and the tiniest dresses. Prada collection was extremely wearable and in the form of fringed finishes, work wear ready and embellishment this season. Alberta Ferretti dominated colorful ruffles jazzy jumpsuits, oversized earrings on the catwalk. Elizabetta Franchi selected beige, white and red colors only on the runway for the F/W collection while Philipp Plein controversial show slammed for distasteful Kobe Bryant tribute at Milan, but aside from that, the runway had show-stopping material clothes with no limits.
